But that ended-up OK as Liz, Jen and Randi were running late too. We decided to meet at the hotel and then go to the arena together. After all, we had our signs to finish! We met, finished our signs and then contacted Caylee so we could all meet at the arena and hang out.
As we were driving into the Amway Center we saw Taylor’s car driving in too. She didn’t get out but we saw someone waving through the window and the crowd was cheering so we knew it was her.
Then, when he was done, Shanon called him over and we chatted for a while.
He was so nice. It was the first time I’d met him and he wanted to know stuff like how many times we had seen the show and where we were from. He’s from New York so we bonded over that immediately.
He said he’d spent time in Orlando when he was touring with N*Sync!
After he went inside we entered the arena too.
We were all seated in the same section but scattered all over. We kept eyeing empty seats suitable for us to move into as a group, but people kept sitting in them!
As we had linked signs — Happy, Free (that was me), Confused, Lonely, and Who’s Taylor Swift Anyways, Ew -- we wanted to sit together.
If you are nice to me and are standing up and having a good time and I somehow get in your way, I will then apologize and make a effort to get out of your way. But, to someone who is sitting doing nothing but being a brat to me, I’ll be a brat right back.
The audience and its participation is a large part of the joy in a Taylor concert — Deadheads, eat yer hearts out — and I just don’t get Taylor audience non-participants. Why bother coming?
At Club Red they eat, hang out with each other, meet cast and band members and, most importantly, meet with Taylor.
In a breach of accepted concert protocol, they started picking Club Red people in the Amway arena before Taylor even came on stage.
Secret songs My favorite part in every show is waiting to see what the secret song will be. Randi and I had been hoping that at one of the Florida shows Taylor would perform, Tied Together With a Smile.
As Randi’s birthday comes up April fifteenth and mine is on the seventeenth, we’d also been dreaming that Tied Together would be played as a secret birthday present to us, without Taylor even knowing us! Dream on…
When Taylor started talking on the mini-stage, we waited with bated breath to see what the secret song would be.
I’d also secretly been hoping for, Should’ve Said No, but Taylor went with You’re Not Sorry even though she’d performed it as a secret song less than ten days ago
Never mind, despite our being a tad disappointed, it was a beautiful-wondrous performance. The acoustic part of the show remains my favorite section.
I went and tried to hunt down water but every food vendor in the arena had closed. I suffered through the rest of the show sitting down although I battled to stand up during WANEGBT. Otherwise I would have felt I was the worst fan, ever. It was terrible. And stupid.
After the show we all went to IHOP and held our own Club Red. We had a blast being loud, obnoxious and annoying to the people all around us. Caylee stole all of our telephones; took selfies, Tweeted for us, and wrote on our Facebooks and Instagrams.
Learning experiences Although the day didn’t end as we might have wished at Club Red, we had a blast together, at the show, and afterwards.
Every show is a learning experience, good, bad or otherwise.
I love the people I am meeting on my Cross Country and all the time I can spend with friends. The people I meet are the best things in this whole adventure.
The entire week in Florida has been amazing, and there’s more to come! The best pre-birthday week I have had in a long time, probably ever (are you tired of hearing about my birthday yet?). I will remember this week, and the whole RED Tour, for the rest of my life. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the tour brings.
My thanks to @LizzieElise for so generously sharing some of her wonderful photos with this blog. Follow her: she’s a star. Also at: http://heartoverpitch.tumblr.com/
(Plus, again, I’m sorry this blog is late. With so much excitement, it’s a real problem tying this blogging-thing down!)
Thanks for reading, thanks for caring.

Sami I’ll be blogging all the way through the RED Tour, Facebooking, and Tweeting (or @tswiftontour).
I’ve opened an email account — CCWTS13@gmail.com — which, if you want, you can use to send stories and photos to that you think will be of interest to Swifties. We could even open an album!
